What was your 1st tractor ?

First tractor I drove at 10yrs old was a David Brown Cropmaster, twin seat, petrol/tvo. Spent many hours rolling grass fields with it. Still in the back of the shed, will dig it out and get it going again one day.
Have you checked for cracked block?
There is place where coolant does not drain

The 595 wasn't MF's finest moment.
To be fair, the dealer (or most probably MF) stood behind it, so it wasn't the financial cost but more the loss of use of a new tractor.
Part exchanged it for a Ford 7700 -YTL 34S, that was on it's second lap round the clock when it left.
7700s were good tractors.Did alot of work with mine, and on second lap.

Learnt to drive on an old crank start dumper then a MF65 and a 135 we had as the loader tractor, the 135 did have power steering. Passed my test on a 565. I have only just sold the 565 and 135, traded the pair in for a kubota as I couldn’t get one working tractor from the 2.

The first tractor that was mine was a column change 2wd Ford 7610. Since then a succession of MF one JD and I am now on my 4th Fendt.

Technically my first tractor is the MF690 FWD I inherited from my uncle. The first I drove was a MF135 - it's an early serial number model registered in '65, Dad got it 2nd hand in '68. Uncle took it over mid '80s, then back to Dad after Uncle passed & then I bought it off Dad shortly after. It had a new crown wheel at some point and a new clutch in the '90s. Since I've had it it's had an injector pump rebuild, new temperature gauge, radiator hoses, lift pump, water pump and air filter unit - the last one due to me forgetting to tighten the oil bath back up properly when diagnosing the problem that turned out to be the injection pump! Other than that she's original.

The old gal currently needs the hydraulic relief valve seeing to, the underbody exhaust is getting a bit past it & the tyres are a bit perished, but she keeps on chugging along. I'm tempted to do a full strip down & rebuild, but keep the bodywork original, but time constraints are holding me back.

What is serial number?
You are tempted to do full rebuild???
It is your tractor to do what you want but it is my opinion if a tractor looks reasonable and goes ok do not respray

It's serial number 26077.

If I do a full rebuild I definitely won't respray - I just want to to the mechanical stuff so that she can carry on going for another 50+ years!

With a new lease of life, haven’t got any from its working days
Very nice ? What year is she?
I drove a 1974 (M reg) 5000 which had the delux cab like the 7000. 'In cab entertainment' was one of these...

.....wedged into that lip in the roof, with an ear-phone under a set of MF ear muffs. It was the best we had in those days. It worked well but crossing bumpy dragging it occasionally jiggled out and cracked you on the bonce.

It has the date cast on the engine when it was made and it was 10 days older than myself. I loved that tractor.

The first tractors I drove were a ford 4000 HVL 668G as an 8 year old carting alongside our 1530 combine in 1974 I also used a C reg 5000 we had a Doe 130 at the time but I wasn’t allowed to use that as it might have been dangerous. The first tractor I bought was a Ford 4000 P reg from my Dad and the first new tractor I bought was a Landini 165 I definitely have learnt nothing

Allis Chalmers ED 40 was my first drive (when it would start ) My bro was pushing huge hedgerows over with a IH dozer and i dragged said hedges into a bonfire shape reclaiming some land that had not seen farming for a long time. There was some horseshoe drains still in there .And bog oaks :):)
