Hi all I live in the burton upon trent area and I was wondering what would be the best way to go about getting shooting permissions, I’m looking to help control pigeons rabbits rats ect, I have a 177 air rifle with night vision equip. Thanks all for taking the time to read this appreciate it have a great day.

It was a bit tongue in cheek, but you did ask what is the best option....lol
Otherwise, the best way is through contacts with landowners, or maybe join a vermin syndicate. I'm in a little syndicate not far from you but it is full at he moment, we have access to pigeons and in season the odd pheasant, goose and partridge and duck from a little pond on one of the farms.

Try letters door to door at farms offering free pest control for shooting permission, including experience and references if any and a nice bottle doesn't hurt ;)

Its no coincidence that all the people who shoot vermin, pigeons, foxes on this farm either beat or pick up on the shoot that also uses the farm. That way they build up a relationship with the shoot owner and me (I do some picking up) and then we can take things from there. My advice would be to start beating on a shoot or 2 and see how it goes.
