What would be the quickest way to provide privacy on two edges facing a road on each?

I suppose quickest put up fencing people can't see through but I could see that would make it seem like I am hiding something and put new neighbours on edge perhaps.

Like the idea of hedging but that takes a couple of years to grow doesn't it.

A piece has come up which is ticking nearly all my boxes except it is edging onto a crossroads on two corners. The roads are very small, single trackers, though so not like on an A or B road or such.

Also looks to be a bohemian looking enclave a few hundred metres up the road which is a thumbs up which indicates none judgemental neighbours and other locals must tolerate them. Lots of vehicles in various states of disrepair, a caravan in a layby and old school bus type vehicles I saw parked on roads and in drives. Better than nimbys!

Wrapped silage stacked three high?
I like your thinking. Solidly block out the view yet good 'plausible deniability'.

Reminds me of the castle hidden behind stacks of hay bales in the news. Then again he got rumbled! Wow I just read the blurb and it said he managed it for 7 years. So close to the golden 10 year breakout point. Robert Fidler lol, priceless.

Why do people who move into the countryside always put up barriers so no -one can see in?
The travelling community are worst with 10 high walls or boards.
Town lady who bought next door put tinned gates on field boundaries against me. WTF
Surely people want to see out?
Gates in the countryside, doors in towns! 🤬

You are advocating for no doors on your house in towns? Don't think that will take off.

Dead right, take my village, please anyone take it? in the good old days, long before people were obssed with house prices, and we had a very mixed community, from people working in factories, local ford tractor/radiator plants, or farm workers to a few city commutors, and most if not nearly all the children went to the local school and we knew the neighbours, come to think about it, we knew all the people down our unmade road? Wayback then no one had "electric gates" or security cameras? All us children had to be rarey of was the local policeman in the village police house the dogs that bite? and the grumpy farm worker? Now today all thats gone, and nearly all the houses/homes, "mansions" that have replaced the prewar bungalows, have electric gates, security cameras, to keep people out? And protect those inside, that and their "chelsea tractor/battle tanks, with the darkened windows? when they do dare to venture out? Why do they want so darken windows to not be seen? The children that now live here, are ferreied back and forth in this machines with no or minimal exposure to the enviroment or people?

Step in six paces then plant your hedge. This gives access without hassle. Then you can wire fence or ditch to the road or fence inside the hedge. Or no fence. Your choice.
A well planted hedge soon grows up. Just remember to put in some standards.

It's called suburbia, been around for decades... urban sprawl continues to swallow it up.. almost like the Google Street view maps camera is used for development potential

I guess some of the reason behind the closed gates would be the local doasulikies?
