I’d keep quiet about it but concrete all farm tracks.replace all buildings and all tractors and machinery and buy a combine then as mentioned above carry on farming till it had gone.and pay of one or two friends mortgages and buy nephews a house.im assuming I’d win big

depends how much, say 5 million, put a couple mil in the bank to live on the interest, buy a nice house and a couple of cars, 1 sporty, 1 4x4, then follow the world rally championships around, buy a race horse of my own (had shares in a couple before just for the crack) take all my racing friends to cheltenham for the festival, enjoy winter shooting as much as i felt like and summer doing whatever wherever i fancy

Old saying for example -Council house types win buy big car ,move to different area in the countryside and buy big house etc.etc BUT the only thing is then their like the rest already there who got the same.

wealth would have been to stay where they were ?

At the end of the day material thing's are good and we all want or need but at the end of the day your Health is the true winning ticket .

If it was euro millions I would help out sibling/family then buy a farm and bulldoze all the buildings. Build new buildings yard and house exactly to spec. Drain all the land and buy a herd of top class suckler cows. Buy all the toys for feeding and bedding up. Employ a right hand man for when I was on holiday.

If it was ordinary lottery buy a farm and carry on modestly. hopefully have enough to live without too many financial worries again.

I'd move to a house on the mountainside near lake Lucerne in Switzerland, spend my summers playing in something fast on the alpine roads, and my winters skiing a bit and planning world domination.

Playing with something fast on Swiss roads is something that just isn't going to end well with their approach to speeding :(

Chap fills his car with petrol every friday on his way home from work, has a pound given in change and buys a ticket, sat night watching the telly and lo and behold 6 numbers match up. says nothing to anyone and goes to see an accountant the following monday, £5.6million. He thinks he has the almost perfect life 2 kids 13 and 15,a job that pays well enough to change his two year old car every two years, wife has a part time job helping in a school, he reckons if he tells the family everything will change and not for the better, so he has the accountant look after his money for him, it's earning £23k a month in interest alone, 10 years later, which was when the accountant retired the money had grown to £8.5million, that was above 15 years ago when my accountant told it to me, it was his best friend who had been looking after the money. Now I don't know if he's still kept the secret from his family, but can you imagine saying to the wife "ten( or more) years ago I won the lottery but didn't tell you" . The sh!t would hit the fan big style.

You must be planning on living fairly frugally as 1% of £2 million is only £20K
