Yes but it was an arse-hole existence wasn't it?As George Best said...
I spent a lot of money on booze, birds and fast cars. The rest I just squandered
Jeez we managed 3 ton this year ,can hit 5 in a good year ill sell you twenty acres in exchange for your winning ticket.private jet, super yacht, a lot more cars, big house in the south of France and proper farm that can grow 4t plus average wheat crops every year
first 4 achievable but the last one maybe too ambitious !
Who gives a sh1t, I bet it was a scream.Yes but it was an arse-hole existence wasn't it?
Like the vacuum cleaner lot too?I once saw a discussion where people were asking what happened to all those guys who made a decent fortune with computers in the 80s/90s... and the answer for a lot of them turned out to be that they bought a farm/ranch out in the country and spent their days enjoying life working on it.
So I think the answer for a lot of farmers, myself included, would be that they would carry on doing exactly what they are doing now, only with some newer kit and a few more holidays.

Would have to agree with that.i made very good money doing my pig shed devolopment and all I’ve spent is £1600 on an electric garage door.would love a new tractor which I could easily afford but can’t get my head round itAny farmer lv known who either got money from selling a field for building or wind turbines, don't spend much to start with, probably pay the loans of then, it starts, car, tractor, pick up then ifor Williams trailor, then silage equipment. I think most folk on here would be itching to do the same.l remember we got about 20 grand in 1992 for a pipe line went right threw the farm. Mum got the house decorated, but dad did change a tractor and bought a mcconel topper. Happy dayz. Still get a wee retainer for that pipe, but only 200£.
Not when you’ve 60 million in the bank it isn’tAll very well saying you would buy land but to buy it close by is just about impossible
