Have just done first cut silage and with what we had left over from last year we've got enough without doing a second cut. Neighbour would like to take the second cut off it. So what's it worth per ac? They put fert on, probably get 6 weeks growth. Good rye grass/ red clover leys.

Can you put your finger on any land where someone would sell you a cut of grass this year? Bonus points if it is within 30 miles of you! And no I don't mean some rushes or gorse in some hole in the Mendips, I mean actual grass you would be prepared to put in your mixer wagon.
Just gave away 80 acres of half way decent grass for cutting
If i was to charge for it i have been offered £30

All depends on local demand. What do bales of silage sell for locally?

Here....
Offered it for grazing.
Hard to find any takers.
Will probably try and make big bale hay instead of it going to waste.

What fertilizer he he putting on , if he's a dairy farmer the slurry back is a good help , the issue is what's being taken of with the crop and the cost of replacing it
Less than £45 then your far better getting someone to graze it , or £10 bale

Different outlook for you,

You have enough for this year, what about next year? Things are still going up and no sign of stopping I'd bale it up for myself if it's good quality grass and RC leys, those kind of inputs are not to be missed this year. I'd rather carry over some fodder stock into next year again than bank on things settling or coming down.

Make as much as you can afford and keep the P&K on your farm not anyone else's

Been offered the chance of some that has had no stock on it since last winter. The owner is hoping for a payment, I am thinking on a charge...;)

Sure thing I will not be paying anything for it, as it's several miles away...
If its several miles away in my direction I'll have it to graze some lambs on...they're doing well on rocks and nettles but they'd probably improve for some actual grass 😂
