What's stopping you from becoming regenerative/holistic?

That’s what I’m thinking. Why not setup a massive online farmers market where any farmer can sell to any one? Help is provided with marketing etc so farmers can focus on the work they know and there’s a community aspect to help farmers deal with the mental aspects and learn from each other. As well as create a connection between the farmer and consumer so they know where their food comes from and how it’s grown

The difficulty is to find enough farmers initially to give consumers a range of options so it replicates the variety seen in a supermarket and you can do your whole shop on the platform. And getting farmers onto the platform initially as most already have an outlet for their regenerative produce (local boxes, farmers market’s etc) and so don’t see the initial need

If not already aware of them, you should hook up with these organisations:

while I support farm shops etc, I do feel they cater for a certain xsection of the public, they are definitely on the expensive side, which is probably justified, but, it is leaving a big % of the public, unable to get the benefits ! And to really promote UK product, we have to get the message, over to a proportion of that public. I cannot see an answer to correct that, but it is a pity.

We do have the answer. It is a reversal in the concentration of market share in food retailing.

The supermarket can be dis-invented without anyone noticing.

Once everyone gets their heads around that statement, it's a doddle.

Farm shops don't have to be expensive. Its only because they've created a model that mirrors the current retail mindset.
ie, upsell, get more money off people, cater with a cafe, sell gifts and tat to boost the spend. To the point that the most successful farm shops sadly have turned into almost multi million pound businesses.
If they took a step back and really thought hard about a low cost sales model then those savings will pass on to the consumer and be less wasteful on resources all round, both physical and financial.

in total agreement, but as a lot have gone that way, the question is why ? To me, a farm shop ought to be basic, in the main, and value for money. Not aiming for a section of society, that can afford to, that number may well shrink, post Brexit, with redundancies.
