Have a shed someone is interested in wintering some dairy heifers in,was thinking of buying some cattle to put in it myself but thought it might not be a bad option.I will be providing the shed, baled silage ,straw, water and labour how much do people charge? cheers

If your providing everything it should be £2 a day. I was on a deal whereby the owner provided feed and bedding, but wanted the muck back. He did but some straw and haylage from me, by the bale.
I shan't be bothering with him again though , for various reasons I won't go into on here.
Thinking of buying my own this year, but looking at the price of weanlings, how much can you increase their value over winter?
