What's up with this lamb

Have a pedigree ram lamb that's started throwing cud and dribbling from one side of its mouth, aswell as having his ear down on that side . Have had vet out , Can't feel any lumps in his mouth or doesn't look to have anything stuck in teeth at back but he certainly isn't right ! Any thoughts on what it could be ?

I've got a few lambs like that this year and I can't work it out. No injuries, no lumps, teeth are fine.
Some are a bit poor and some are doing well. We were thinking maybe a form of acidosis from the grass?

Has he been dipped?
I would say mites in his ear, and he has been rubbing that side and got an infection, the front of that ear pocket looks to be swelling, is he head shaking too?

No head shaking, dipped 6 weeks ago , literally happened overnight, but doesn't look to be getting worse fast like listeria.
