what's wrong with your overalls?

Since I am ridiculously vain, it is important that one's boilersuit does make one look like a pie gobbling, cake munching fat barsteward, and Kv and Claas score well on this criteria (y)
Very handy zips at the bottom of the legs too.
everybody wears one, to the extent that I was once told in Stirling mart that it's the "tuxedo "for my locality
FFS, have you all got matching bow ties too?:LOL:

I don't wear overalls but the problem I have with trousers would be the same - not hard wearing enough in the knees. When you're loading and unloading small bales all the time, the right knee gets a lot of hammer and is always the first bit to wear out. I must have a dozen old pairs with one worn out knee that are fine otherwise.
put them on back to front;)

Try being a woman with curves and getting a boiler suit to fit! Mine is that baggy round my waist I fear for my life on a windy day that I'm going to take flight! And completely agree with @Princess Pooper why does dickies think our bodies are about 4 foot long and arms to match! Their women's ones are hopeless! So if anyone knows of an overall which actually has a narrow waist compared to hips and boobies I'd love to know! That's my rant over. I'll hand back over to the boys now.

+1 for being totally pi$$ed off with broken zips. Hate the snaps too. Much the same as the 'Land Rover door handles' problem, they get hooked on everything when they rip open:mad:. I'm really thinking of trying a Bib and Brace from Engelbert Strauss but as @Princess Pooper says, the buckles slip away, and no, I don't have big boobs either:whistle:. I've had stuff from E S before and it's quality stuff.....not cheap but neither are Dickies that last a week! Anyone tried any Bib and Brace from E S.......their extra long tail shirts are excellent by the way....very comfortable and don't pull out :)

I had a pair of the more expensive es active bibn brace and they are very comfortable but very thin and very very flamable set 2 pairs on fire in one week
Now have carhartt ones and they are so thick and such heavy material nothing seems to damage them i posted a link to there double fronted work trouser further back in the post that i am currently wearing but just ordrred the bib and brace for winter
They also do flannel lined ones if ur really cold

https://www.dickiesstore.co.uk/product/IN4001BK-dickies-industry-260-bib-and-brace these are good set of bib and brace for not a lot of money , go for the next size up if wearing on top of jeans , elastic on the shoulder straps now days stop the straps from slipping off , soft shell jacket on top gives a lot more movement than a boiler suit . only wear a boiler suit when crawling under machinery now .

Do you all think that is space for a new brand of overalls? What sort of price would you want to pay?
Yes there's a market for a good pair of overalls, that fits, is practical, looks smart and lasts and lasts.... Important to look smart at the market.

My current overalls cost over £50 - they're OK so far. I'd pay more for a really good pair. I have a Helly Hansen anorak that's still good after 30yrs. And if you'd write our name on the back, that would be tops!

To borrow from another thread (re welfare / toilet facilities for farm workers).

Allegedly the chap who started that thread once had a sh1t behind a hedge, only he hadn't rolled his overalls down properly out of the way.

When he pulled them back up allegedly he got sh1t all down the back of his neck.

With this danger ever present - perhaps overalls with a Velcro sh1t hole would be a good idea??

Just a suggestion. I never wear the things myself.
