NO sign of slugs at all.
Getting eaten off at bottom, mainly cross drilling where stubble is more prevalent(Straw baled)
Looks like leatherjacket damage or wire worm damage, but can’t find any when I dug a hole dug.
Any ideas.? And potential cure.
Many thank in advance for reply’s

Looks like it follows the chaff from combine,it's probably slugs. I have some soil like that on a very small part of the farm and wheat went yellow and purple before disappearing like that, tried all sorts, the only thing to sort it was a healthy dose of FYM.

Have a area in one of my fields that look like yours, no signs of slugs in mine either but will spread a few on just to make sure, mine is after oats, hoping the wheat that,s left will grow away.
