I've got over wintered seed in the shed that could take 3 weeks to germinate , who knows what the weather will be like then .

Would it be better to follow ploughs with drill, like in your rape sowing pics. Or at least press or roll behind the plough.

Fusarium on seed is a moveable feast. It is a disease of establishment. Ask NIABTAG as they have data from seed treatment trials form years ago.
My view - so no warranty on this - if sown reasonably early into a good seedbed and gets away then doubtful if any yield response to almost any level of fusarium. Conversely late sown maybe. And when it comes to trial data from the manufacturers of seed treatments ask then how many trials it took to generate a yield response and ask if the seed was innoculated with plenty fusarium 'to help the trial'
To reply properly. I wouldn't have treated 13% fusarium. But thats me.

We had 78mm in the last week of sept so i would have taken either of those last year, if it does the same again we are knackered so fingers crossed we get winter 18/19

What will be your start drilling date and emergence date on your own land.
Probably end of September. Drilling into a catch crop after osr. I’m trying to build beneficials. We havnt used any insecticide including deter for about 5 years. We aren’t on a particularly bad bydv area.
It just seems wholesale spraying of insecticides is completely against what we are wanting to achieve long term. Trying to remove ourselves from the short term mindset of farming from a can.
Below is catch crop. This block of land is on its 3rd set of pollinators in 12 months. Buckwheat as an osr companion last autumn, then flowering osr and now this catch crop linseed buckwheat and sunflowers (direct drilled into chicken muck). You can probably guess why I am loathe to use a insecticide!

If we look forward two weeks, and see a little rain but our brains say "here we go, another washout" then perhaps some kind of therapy is needed? If, on the other hand, we do get an inch plus a week for twelve of the main drilling weeks, then my wife will finally admit we need to stop farming.
