currently watching a field die due t frit fly, it’s not much fun either
What a shitter of a year. After oats? Is there not one single crop we can grow that isn't beset by some devestating pest or issue?

I find it harder to watch crops drought off or suffer weather damage when the finish post is almost in sight and you’ve spent all your inputs, after a winter drowning you’ve half a chance of another go in springI'm not sure if watching crops die on sand is worse than watching crops die under water. Neither are good are they.
I’m currently watching two fields of wheat get trampled to death because people can’t stick to the footpath because of a bit of mud! To many people with time on their hands at the moment!

Well there’s no chance of them droughting off in the next month@DieselRob how are Weaving Sabre tine crops looking?
Where were you before? Are you middle ish Lincolnshire now?Yes, this is partly why we moved here to the land of soil moisture.

If it's through the ground your half way there, in a fortnight or so chuck some N on it and give it a good slug on MN then once it's dry enough give it a good hiding with the rolls and it'll be fine.I’ve 16 acres of wheat on light land sprayed off grass ley still to direct drill. 2 dry blowy days and it would stop squelching and be worth a go. An experiment.
The ploughed land I drilled with the MF 30 is coming through now though it’s a bit sparse on heavy areas. Not had any herbicide but very clean so far. The seed leaf is as thin and brown as I have seen but hopefully they will pick up. There will be a crop at least. The rooks attacked it initially but seem to have given up now. Scarecrow in high viz and banger ropes occasionally.
Will be lots of spring barley here again and some grass.

I did have some sympathy for @teslacoils and his cropping issues, but now i've found out he's deserted God's own county....sacrilege left yorkshire for lincolnshire ah well takes all sorts ,ho ho
