Tremendous soil up the road!
Yes, and if you can’t farm 100 Give up!
I better give up then
Ha! We only farm on a tiny scale compared to you, if I can’t get 100 acres of wheat and 50 of barley right, then I may as well let Mr Big Farmer up the road have it.
Who said you couldn’t farm it?
Can all your soils grow roots?
I cannot get near your numbers
I cannot get near your numbers
Yep, and you’ll soon be having some of that hey!
All combinables gone,
Grp1 milling Wheat 4.2 t acre
Feed barley 4t acre
Spring barley 3t acre
All up on last year, we always seem to do better here in a dry year.
Overall very pleased!
Had the same problem with our peat over sand.Looking forward to it!
The last 2 years here the wheat has run out of moisture on sandy loan over clay, probably a ton/ac down on your numbers.
Do I remember correctly you watering the wheat ?
Good news here.
Wheat all gone and only 12ish tons short of what we sold!
Good news day. Not sure where it came from
Dry and good specific weights, small mercies.
About 80%.Good to hear, but what % did you sell of your average tonnage forwards?
About 80%.
I hope you didn’t sell forward too early
The price seemed good at the time. Think father had been reading too many books and thought he was Warren Buffett. He wanted to sell 3.5tons/acre - our average is NOT 3.5 tons!!
