Wheat in barley. advise

We have a field of winter barley that probably 2 week off cutting. Because we didn't plough and had a lot of bird damage in the previous crop we have a lot of wheat in it. It a 20 acre field. It varies form no wheat to up to 80% wheat. Our plan is to combine it when the barley is ready. Leave the straw down until its fit. Roll the grain and treat with urea/acid. Hopefully this should work as the wheat is still very green. What my main worry is will it combine OK and will we have a lot of grain losses. All advice welcome

Much the same situation here, but not so much wheat as 80%. Bout 2 weeks til barley ready.
Gonna leave it be and hope. Will look again in 10 days to see if needing roundup. Not keen to bring harvest much more forward as just not ready tbh.
Warmer weather coming so hopefully finish it off enough

I burnt off a fiend of barley Friday. It’s got about 5% wheat in it at a guess.

Nit really bothered by it. Will boost protein and bushel weights a bit.

Hopefully most will end up in the tank. If the spot which are 80% wheat might have to wait until the wheat is ready and risk the odd barley head on the floor. The wheat is still very green.
