Hello,
I have wheat at tillering stage and it got freeze injury. It has 3 tillers, sown october 5 2020 and got very extensive leaf necrosis.
So it is in stress now and would be ok for rolling or i have to wait.

Nitrogen would be better IMO. You must be in a much drier part of the country - mine is still under water! Lots of frost burn here too, but the plants will put out new leaves soon enough. I'm aiming to apply 40 kg of N next week when we can travel.

Thanks for your replies. Yes i am and for me is important also what other farmers from different countries think about farming. Sometimes, some opinion can be very usefull, no matter where you live or what you work.

I hope to roll some soon, mostly because there’s combine destroying flints on the surface but is some frost lift. Think the crop will take it but too wet at the moment

I will wait the soil to get dry. But do i have to wait the leaves get greener or not. I think the soil will be ready after a week, but not sure about the wheat. My caution is not to stress it more, because of the condition in which is the crop now.

I spread 220 kg/ha urea 2 weeks ago and 170 kg/ha NP 20:20 week before seeding. Colleagues around dont roll, because they think its damaging the wheat. I hope its going to recover after freeze. It was average -7 °C for a week.
Attached photo is from 10 february.

Yes and the forecast shows average 1 week 13°C.
Wheat is very important crop, but we are waiting it like pregnant woman for 9 months and sometimes even more

I wouldn't PGR a crop that was that distressed, better to wait and put it on in March with T0. I'd be doing manganese and magnesium +/- phostar 7 days after rolling. I would also pray the weather warms up!

I've often used a splash of moddus along with the mineral to keep it rooting and tillering. But then I'd roll winter wheat twice in spring anyway if I had the chance. It's amazing what the rolls do to a cereal crop.

But yes, sunshine. And not looking at it for a bit.
