Wheel painting

I use HMG polyester spray putty on grp and it's brilliant.
Depending on what we're painting and to what spec has been give we use a fair amount of akzol Nobel. Partly because we use their powder for powder coating and they do the largest range of certified industrial paints going.

Glasurit is expensive but it requires less finishing work after. Spies hecker is on another level even above glasurit. if you ever get chance to use it you won't go back to any thing else.
Products now are brilliant, there is a product to nearly combat every eventuality

Paints with a 5/10yr guarantee if every process is met etc

Glasurit is dam nice stuff to use through the devilbiss flows out lovely,
Hmm if we used the spies hecker I fear we wouldn't go back either but always an option on the bespoke jobs where £s are not the main player

If glasurit flows through a devilbiss well, I dare you to try arnest iwata. We run 10 of them and 8 sata guns. I retired my gti and gti pro as they just didn't cut the mustard any longer.

The last couple of posts are almost like a different language. Sorry guys I've not much idea what you are on about.
Mine is a working tractor and spends 350-400 hours / year on a hedgecutter. Naturally enough the wheels have taken a bit of a battering along the way and I am just looking to tidy them up not do a concours restoration job on them.
The hammerite suggestion sounds good considering the work its doing.

Well if your paying someone to blast and paint them do them with poly,
If you just want to touch them up with a brush use the hammerite.

Yes , initially I was going to get them done by someone professionally but now might put that idea off untill I can retire the tractor from hedgecutting duties and just freshen up for now. They are pretty much rust free presently.
Presumably you can run hammerite through a bog standard Sealey spray gun?

Touch them up with a brush if it's just around the lugs etc
