When is a 35x not a 35x

You would be luck to find a 30 seeder still fitted with the original wheels/tyres ,the 4 meter drill was fitted with 14x24 which although not PC are near as damit the same diam and transform a 35/135/240

@Kidds I'm assuming yours is live PTO?

Live like a T20 where you have to have the pto in to get the arms to move? Well no, dual clutch and arms work always. Also has a diff lock (and a clock!)

I would say that’s a 35x going by dynamo bracket! Have you got the serial number? I reckon it would start SNFY.

Just a bit fatter with a smaller centre but exactly same design.

Bits get chopped & changed all the time.....have 3 here a fe35, a 35 & a 35x. the 35 was x scraper tractor so the backend was swapped with the 4 cylinder to make a better 3 cylinder 35 before being painted, plenty more localy would have got the same or parts from breakers off any model that would fit.
The 35x is our own & has just been done up, not painted yet but still mobile & doing a bit.

The Drill left here in about 90% as new condition apart from the wheels n tyre swop.
it was grain & fert. Possibly the best implement massey ever made he often used to say.

Built by Howard I believe. Good drill and a great advance over the earlier 29.

35X runs at 2200rpm and 35 runs at 2000rpm which means that the 35X provides potentially more power with all being in perfect order 44hp. As far as I know.

I wonder if the wheel pans sent for drill fitment missed a final finish? Because a good many are not as smooth as those fitted to tractors.

Our from new on this farm 35 has a difflock ! & not short of hp neither.
I havnt tried reving it anywhere near 2000revs never mind 2200 yeesssh
