You wouldn't put a duck out in the rain here just now in the West Highlands. The river hasn't risen an inch though, the ground is soaking up everything

Is anyone getting much rain yet?
Met Office app showing >95% heavy rain for past 3 and next 3 hours but just been spitting.so far.
Story of all the forecast rain since spring sowing.

Desperate here. Patches of spring barley dying off completely. Rain forecast will help some but not all of it. Just hope we don’t get new tillers and regrow.
Last year we had the 4” inch rain event in June which turned my beet field anaerobic. We could do without that again. Just a nice steady rain on and off spread over the next 10 days would be fine.

There's nothing left to cut in the south .Cut some yesterday for silage didn't turn like hay today .All smashed up!
The odd few fields on sheep mainly farms left around laid up, but I would say the majority has been cut in the North!

Theres been Not a lot of bottom in anything tho and on medium to lighter ground it's been burning for a week or so , that's going backwards, so might as well take it off of course, hopefully a few decent showers will come if we're lucky.
