Just as an aside - I recently got told about Windy.com by a friend on a football forum of all places !!
Joking apart ,I find it very good as a general indicator of whats happening (not just wind lol)and the tools on the sidebar are very informative too, and you can switch models etc

Give it a try if you haven't , it makes a change from the Beeb although I am sure you weather zealots might know of better :)

Well that was another disappointment:(
9mm to add to the 9mm on 18th May that got sucked out by the wind the following two days.
Nothing else forecast for the next week other than a 50% chance of a light shower on Saturday.
4mm , enough to temporary stop the dust!

1mm. Can still kick dust up in the yard. Stopped the shearing. Those rainfall radar things are rubbish. Showed heavily rain over us when it wasn’t raining at all.

Both Windy and Ventusky are very good. Once you find your way around them you can flick between various running models. GFS, ECMWF, ICON, AROME, etc. Every other forecast derives from one of these. I often have people tell me the BBC is more accurate than XC (cross country). One uses GFS as the default, the other ECMWF as as the base. There's no black magic to it!
