When is our pig price going to go up?

One day soon they will run out of excuses as to why this is happening (short weeks, long days, contracts, etc etc etc) and they will fly. But when?
Its starting to look a bit more than suspicious.
I couldn't agree more, hence this thread.

Peter says that it will jump soon however I still feel as though urine is being extracted.
 
I was thinking the same about this. Pig job has been poor for some time now and I read an article a few days ago saying that there has been over 1 million pigs culled in China due to blue ear and they have secured thousands of tonnes of pork from America to make up some of the shortfall. They were describing the protein shortage over there as fairly serious so you would of thought pork and other red meat would see significant increases sooner

In essence there is little to no completion from the slaughter houses and if they do raise the price they will only buy the pigs that are already on the ground and contracted to them anyway. So why do it. The government campaign to close slaughter smaller houses has worked for the consumer but not the farmer. Alternatively, it could possibly be a cartel!
