Been for a walk. It doesn't need it enough yet for the occasional bit of mess.
That's madnessBrash would go here but heavier stuff will just make a mess as I have witnessed this morning on some contract farmed land next door 1ft+ deep ruts on every tramline, right bloody mess.
Not wrong, would take a picture but it's not mine so best not. Trouble is that they are there for the rest of the year, always seem to lay wet too and combining is a right ball ache. I have made plenty of ruts in my time but will see what rain we get at the w-end and will prob go next week. That's madness
Yes got mine done the last 2 mornings on the frost which carried the tractor really wellThought I may get out on Saturdays frost.....which is now not forecast to exist.
Go fast and pray. Hate making a mess but must admit the baler men will have a reason to grumble in a few places, come harvest. This Gleam could do with feeding, but dare not drive on it just yet .View attachment 862275View attachment 862276
Is that October November drilled? If I can travel I will take some pictures of mine tomorrow. This Gleam could do with feeding, but dare not drive on it just yet .View attachment 862275View attachment 862276
October drilled. That’s the worst part of the field . It’s always late ground . Heavy wet stuff and facing the welsh hillsIs that October November drilled? If I can travel I will take some pictures of mine tomorrow.
I applied on winter barley 10 days ago....quite a bit of rain the last few days but it has definitely made a difference, can seen the extra green in the crop....total agree about getting into warmer hopefully drier weather....N is best on and into the cropI've just finished the 2nd dose on everything which has put the total up to 100 units/ac (125kgN/ha) .
wheat and barley has really made use of the first dose and although it's a bit too early for the wheat I'd rather have a good amount in the crop incase this predicted spell of fine weather goes on into April.
Wet as ever here . Another 8 mm last night .I've just finished the 2nd dose on everything which has put the total up to 100 units/ac (125kgN/ha) .
