I was editing as you typed!
I was only joking. That map is scary, and shows just who’s faced the worst of it in the last month.

Hahah No need to edit on my part, I think those anomoly maps are very telling for everyone, the only ones that have 100% average for us are Dec/jan. I wish i could have seen it before i got all excited with the drill at the end of Jan :ROFLMAO:

I finished the last few fields of wheat today, that have been too damp to do sooner.
They had a good dose of manganese in january and and have been ticking along nicely.

In another field you can really see the difference between the part that got some urea on the 6th feb and the rest of the field which only got it last week.

I started whizzing around with some polysulphate afterwards but a very heavy storm put pay to that.[emoji22]

Started Tuesday evening once the wind dropped, an early start and keeping the loader running filling the spreader saw everything have its first dose of Urea before it rained yesterday afternoon, phew !!
Another 5mm since to wash it in, lucky, I was beginning to worry about volatilisation :p

Opinions please .
Two days ago the weather forecast showed a relatively dry period for a few days with approximately 2mm for yesterday and up to 6mm today . So that's ok I thought and put 70 kg N in liquid form on my poor excuse of an osr crop to get it going .
I got up this morning to about 8mm in the rain gauge followed by another 23mm within 3 hours .
So , is it all going to be in Weymouth Bay now or is any going to be left in the field ?

Ouch. Most of that will still be there, maybe not the bit under water.

Still no chance of any action here, had an inch again yesterday. Only just 2 degrees here this morning and got light rain/ drizzle . Can t quite believe the recent pictures of people travelling , would make ruts with a quad bike here on 80 % of fields!

Anyone think it would be sensible to put a bit of n on some skyfall that has been in the ground a month but not quite emerged yet?
I’ve got a chunk thats just starting to haze over green been in a month
I’m definitely going to put some N on as soon as possible probably having walked it next week if we finally get some luck and miss any heavy rain this weekend
It’s going to need feeding and getting away ASAP

Very surprised how it started to dry up today with wind and sun. When I walked some fields late afternoon, they would’ve travelled apart from the odd wet patch .
the difference in my early drilled barley and a field I shouldn’t have drilled after potatoes, which is going to haunt me until harvest as we’ve decided first loss is the best loss, rather than re drill it .
Your worst looks better than my best :cautious:

Brash would go here but heavier stuff will just make a mess as I have witnessed this morning on some contract farmed land next door 1ft+ deep ruts on every tramline, right bloody mess.
