question aimed at GOVT, but any MP, counciller? My local MP or councillers, hopeless in my view? do they see what i see every day? small point on the very long list ? local police station in wickford essex, anyone know the area ? been closed for over 4 years, ment to have been sold by public sealed bid, we bid for it, had to get a bank ref to say if your bid was sucessful you were good for it, far enough? no we wernt, so someone else must have bid higher who and what price was it, havent the public got a right to know? afterall its the publics money? A year later we had a email from the agent handling the sale asking if we were still interested in it? This was 3 years ago, as of today its still there going derelict? Ask the local counciller about all this complete ballsup , they havent a clue? On a national level we as a nation have a growing skills shortage, this has been building up now for many years, from lorry drivers to anyone in the construction industry, etc etc etc, so whats the GOVT doing about it, i ask you ? Why are we so concerned with dare i say foreign countries, refugees, etc? It stated in yestedays press we in the UK have over 10,000 foreign prison offenders that should be deported so why why?

You were probably outbid but the higher bid had conditions on it, or there were problems with the title and the original bidder wouldn't wait- and the sale has now fallen through - so next highest bidder is contacted before they spend money and go out to advert again. Building is not owned by the local council - but the police - so local councillor knows nothing about it and why should he if its not a council building?

my point about the selloff of police property is, the police as yet are not a private company? havent the public whos taxes fund the police service a right to know who and howmuch these properties are sold for? And by this the local councillors should also know this, so the sales are in the publics interest and the most and best money is got for this?

Are we not all human? We are ultimately all from the same planet - why do you discriminate against people just because they are not from one side of an artificial boundary?
I'm sure if you think about it no one is finding unlimited sums of money.
And I'm also sure if you thought really hard you'd realise that no, many of whom come here do not cause trouble.
It's hard to make sense of the second half of that paragraph, but it seems you aren't happy that ex servicemen are committing suicide? Perhaps you need to campaign for better mental health diagnosis and treatment instead of focusing your hate on 'foreigners'

This just sounds like a personal axe getting ground.

But are you native english, or just the descendant of another bloody johnny foreigner immigrant? Probably some good for nothing Anglo-Saxon.

To the OP:

Whoever bid highest for the building has a right to privacy as it wasn't a public auction. Likewise with the reason the sale fell through, it may not have been the prospective buyer's fault.

By any standards the UK is a wealthy nation, we should do what we can to help people who through no fault of their own and against their wishes, find themselves in dire circumstances.

If you want Government to intervene in private industries such as construction and road haulage, are you asking for state control as in China etc? Do you want the railways, utilities etc re nationalised? This after you slate a Government organisation for being unable to sell a small building in a local town?

I mean that you aren't fluent or proficient in the English language so I presumed that you might be of foreign extraction if not an immigrant. Simple enough deduction. Sorry if it is not correct but its an easy mistake to make.

tbf, that post could be construed as being quite racist. We've a chap helps us on the farm for whom English is his second language, and he knows what the letter 'h' is for far more than do the indigenous population around here.

i dont hate foreigners, for starters? im just stating facts ? if you want to open the borders to everyone from poor countries, how many will come and were will it lead to ? Second all this about the UKS a wealthy country is not true , before the pandemic the UK had a debt of over 40 billion, since then, and the figures are out there for all to see its now over 300 billion, interest has to be paid on that?

300 billion? Is that all? I thought it should start with a T once civil service feather bed pensions are included.

The UKs debt is far far worse? Quote from official figures, UK general government gross debt was £2,224.5 billion, at the end of financial year ending march 2021. Government gross debt was 13.1 percentage points above the average of the 27 European Union (EU) member states at the same point in time. So are we a wealthy country?
