When Will It Ever Stop Raining?

We seem to be stuck in a continuous spell of wet down here in the South East. All forecasts are showing rain every day for the next 10 days and worse no warmth either. Can anyone predict when it will change?

Haymaking has ground to a halt and much of the grass is very old now. Hay will be in short supply but loads of wrapped haylage/silage.
Could be worse though at least I don't have a few thousands acres of crops to harvest. Peas already look a write off and OSR is suffering.

no peas here this yr thankfully, but oats will soon be fit and then they wont stick too much more rain and wind.
not much of a forecast with a couple of good days next week at most .
but i must admit i like it cooler, and the grass seeding and brassicas we have sown are growing like crazy, because weve had so much rain recently.
still plenty of time for our silage / haylage .
not too worried if any more hay isnt made as we dont have much shed space anyway.

Week beginning 9th Aug looks better.
Still haven't cut any barley here yet. Few dry days maybe this coming Mon, Tue and weds hopefully.

I draw the the line at starting harvest on a sunday 🤷‍♂️

We've made the call to start mowing this morning and in light rain. There's a three day no rain forecast so we're now committed. "Only" about 150 bales of haylage to wrap but it's a big expense and the bulk (literally) of my crop. On HLS, I can't cut before 30th June and we've just not had the weather since

Sounds like us last year. I'm afraid it didn't get any better.....

Rain? What's that? After a dry Spring we have had no proper rain for a month and apart from some green second cut everything is between yellow and brown with ponds dry and streams 20% usual flow.
Going to take a bit to recover

Similar here, but most definitely not complaining. Hay and silage finished before we often have weather to start, ground dry, cattle doing well. It appears from reading on here the south east of England has the south west of Scotlands weather and vise versa, wouldn't complain if it happened again.

Well, I hope you get your crop in @JP1 . We've done ours now, got it òk, but lots of dead stuff in it  When we had the weather we had no grass, but by the time we had the grass , we had no weather 😀. There has always been a harvest time, the hard bit is recognising it!

Still some grass to be cut round this way and combining cereals and rape is only just started. Nothing combined since last Monday with rain everyday last week and a dull non drying pattern forecast for the next week or so.

It’s amazing the variations we have in weather on such a relitavly small island. Ground is burning up here and its not grown much in 2 weeks and nearly everybody has been cutting and baleing rushes. Parents place by the coast looks like half the fields have been glyphosated 🙈🙈🙈🙈🙈 No need to worry about hitting any rocks if there was silage to be cut, they all have a 3m exclusion zone around them 😂😂😂😂
