Has a date been set ??
Me too. Given the chance, all those with connections to RT need voting OUT.Despite the good work that they do for farmers they also collude with AIC and red tractor to restrict market access. And will be using my money to do it. I can’t endorse that as it affects my business in a negative way. So will have to vote Accordingly
What AHDB ballot?!
They’ve done the Potato and Horticultural sections
So I think it’s a matter of time for the Cereals and other sectors to hold a vote
they surely can’t hold a ballot for two sectors, find they don’t like the result, chance the rules so that the remaining sectors don’t get a vote
They didn’t just hold a ballot for potatoes and horticulture it was forced upon them by levy payers asking for one, forum member @White rabbit was heavily involved, there’s also a very long winded topic about it in the ahdb section on here titled blood sucking ahdb or something similar..............although you might not feel particularly enlightened for reading it.I thought that the ADHB was ballotting it’s levy payers

therefore I was just asking if a cereals vote date had been set
and if not who is the ombudsman to take it further ??

Who qualify to be a levy payerAny sector can demand a ballot at any time by getting a certain % of levy payers to demand one. Thats how the potato and horticulture groups got their vote.
However as a result of the consultation process that the AHDB did a few years ago, and losing the 2 levy votes last year, they committed last December to giving all sectors a regular vote on the continuation of each sector levy, at least once every 5 years. I'm not sure if when the first round of votes will be has been agreed yet though.

Well its some thing that needs sorting before we push for a voteSurely anyone who pays a levy when they sell their produce?
What do you think, will it be a single issue vote?Well its some thing that needs sorting before we push for a vote
I dont know how there voting works but we have to find out before we push for a voteWhat do you think, will it be a single issue vote?
If red tractor went, then would youstill be pushing for ahdb abolishment?Despite the good work that they do for farmers they also collude with AIC and red tractor to restrict market access. It’s written in the Act. Spend a few minutes on google and you’ll find out.Who qualify to be a levy payer
If AHDB didn’t have a conflict of interest in how my money is spent I would be happy for them to stay,I
