Yonks ago, I had to put Galebreaker mesh on a timber posted building and the advice I had was to fit the One end to the upright in the correct position and clamp it to the post with a piece of 3 x2 timber bolted or coach screwed to the post holding the material tight. Go to the other end and tension the roll of material, and fix that end also in the same way. You can also use a series of ratchet straps to achieve the same job but a little bit more cost...
