Have seen a few burnt out combines on social media this season which is not surprising considering the weather

one part that often seems to survive the damage however in a few pictures is the unloading auger which is often extended so escapes the worse of the flames

I maybe looking for a 7xl folding auger extension for a lexion this autumn so does anyone know where these machines all end up / get scrapped ?

Always makes me wonder where they go especially claas combines because the amount that catch fire to the amount that end up in the breakers yard doesn't add up, manners dont seem to have many newish claas in and you would of thought that's where they would go, hewitt auction dont seem to have loads either.

question is, does claas have am agreement with the insurance companies to take back the combines of a certain age ???

Suspect a lot get exported to countries where labour rates are very cheap so they can rebuild a lot of them
