We combine everyday here. The drivers beat the combine up terrible though bust the unloading auger and the divider off and steps are bent

most "winter" crops ( wheat, barley, chickpeas, canola etc ) around here are done & dusted by December, but most people didn't have anything planted to harvest, so its a bit academic anyway . . .

some early crops of sorghum are being harvested now, mainly a bit further north of here. Mainstream "summer crop" ( sorghum, cotton, etc ) harvest generally doesn't kick off till early autumn ( march / april ), but there is very little sorghum around as well.
A mate of mine is running a cotton picking crew with 2 machines this year, he has about 11,000 hectares of dryland ( not irrigated ) cotton to pick, from southern Qld to northern NSW, but he's not starting till mid march
