Where to buy cows

My sort of cow is adaptable. I love my fleckviehs I really do but my wallet doesn't. with the year we've had I am interested in rats to Holsteins.
Trying to get grass rats to lie in cubicles set up for 700kg cows will make a man turn to drink. All my cubicle are now set for the smaller cows, of the few big ones that are left, a few hang out the back. Saving a few quid short term may not be that great a saving.

I would guess mine would top out at the 600kg mark with the odd exception and I'm fairly sure they're empty this year anyway. Always amazes me how adaptable small cows are mind. I bought some from a spring calver 2 years ago and dad nearly had a fit when they were delivered. They came to a similar size to my average by the winter

I would guess looking at pics you've posted hat your cows are heavier than you are allowing.
And don't go saying that your bigger cows aren't incalf, people get upset.

Depends what your wanting, fresh, ic heifers, stale or dry. Remember you do usually get what you pay for, we are going to import a part load of flecks for September calving.

I'm not that fussed but preferably August calving. That said I won't be totatlly dry this year again so some extra June July milk wouldn't be a bad thing. Importing via who?

Culled a fleck the other day. She's been giving buga all milk for a long while. In some serious condition and she killed at 360kg. Would she killed out at 55%? If so she would have been 650kish live
