Where to put calving camera?

Where is the best place to put a calving camera? I was thinking of fastening it to the yorkshire boarding opposite the calving pen (11 feet away but 15 feet up the wall) but am now thinking of putting it on the timber of the roof looking straight down (probably about 20 feet high). I'm thinking above I will get a better view as it cant stick its arse into the corner away from the lense then but want to get it in the right spot first time if I can.

Also, camera with or without microphone? Does it make any difference?

Most of our customers seem to end up with them in the corners of sheds, or if it is a long and narrow shed put two in the middle of the shed 'crossfire' style.

A lot depends on the resolution of the camera and the angle of the lens.

Outside the good looking neighbours bedroom window would be ideal
