Dad been pricing up a replacement for his 10 year old Kubota 9540. Been a good bus, just wanting something a bit more HD.

Not really brand loyal, but have priced the tractors with local (ish) dealers

Kubota M115gx
Deutz 5120g
New Holland T5 115
Massey 5712

All similar spec, semi powershift transmissions (appart from deutz - manual with splitter), 110-120hp, 4cyl, electro hydraulics etc. Not a huge deal of difference price wise between cheapest and most expensive.

Interested in user experiences.

Cheers

Personally I'd demo the Kubota as the cab's a very good improvement over the old model

I'd have a look at the Claas Arion 420 as well, they get good reviews with a properly integrated loader joystick and plenty of oil flow. I have a bigger 620 which has the same cab, it's very comfortable, it had its 3000 hour service yesterday and had been faultless.
Supposed to be having a demo 460 Arion if it ever turns up and makes its way out of Cornwall !

Personally I would go for the NH but then I may be a bit biased as we have one :ROFLMAO:
My choice other than NH there would be the MF, nice tractors (y) have you considered a Kubota M5111?

Had a drive in a T5.110 yesterday, ordering a MF5610 on Monday. NH felt very behind the times on the gearbox front.

Kubota have a demo coming next week, a M95 mgx. Although it will not be powerfull enough it should give us a good trail on the overall tractor, as it shares many of the components with the larger model.

Kubota seem to be most keen to get the deal done at present. We have no issue in having another as the M9540 has proved reliable, and a lot of its work has been loader work. All dealers offering similar trade in price, and depreciation has been low.

The electro command would be the transmission of choice on the NH, would be interested in user feedback.

Try the Case luxxum.
4 speed powershift with 4 robotised ranges .
100 litre hyd pump with joystick intergrated into armrest
4 speed PTO with hydraulic oil seperate from gearbox oil
If your looking for a premium loader tractor then this hits the spot , we sold a couple of its predecessor's the Farmall Pro
which have been excellent all rounders.

What did you not like about the Electro Command gearbox? Did you try a T5 utility?
Mechanical levers are so last century. That beeping when you try to change from one range to another, then having to press two buttons at once, it's 2017 for goodness sake! The fact they've had to duplicate the buttons because when you change range you can't reach the buttons on the gearstick. It is seriously outdated compared to a D4, no brake to clutch and the whine from the transmission!

I love my T7.210 but the T5 was like stepping back into the nineties.

As for 3 cylinders, not an issue.

It only beeps if you f**k the range change up, do it properly and it won't beep. As for pressing the two buttons at once, it's no different than having to press the declutch button and put the t bar forward on the D4. Yes it's hard to reach the buttons on the gearstick when it is in H but it's not overly far away, I find it easier to reach than 5th gear in a deutz.

Who needs the hassle of having to watch the dash for a tiny number to work out if you need to press 2 buttons instead of 1. The D4 only needs 2 buttons if you're in field mode, in road it's one button all day.
