Which activity meters ?

As above Anyone using them ? What do you think ? Anyone taken them out or had problems ?
Currently looking at the Ice cube from Ice robotics but heard both good and bad.
Westphalia which I think is the same as Pearson/Alta. They do both pedometers and collars Any difference between the 2 ? The pedometers are significantly cheaper.
Also looking at the Herdinsights from Mole Valley. The cheapest but the activity meters fit on the side of the collars so I would be worried they will get damaged on my self-locking yokes, I have a neighbour who was constantly getting the old Heat time knocked off.

I went with HerdInsights directly before they sold through Molevalley. Great system to be fair. Where my results were always ok i am now getting better results with alot less effort.
I dont have yokes so cant really comment on that. The collars look and feel robust though if that helps.

ive got activity meters and I would say none. For the cost I would go with eyes and tail paint.

2nd. We used to run heatime and it's no coincidence that I dropped it and our fertility went up.

I'm rearing 4 bull calves to use as teasers for next season. I've come in for a lot of friendly ribbing over it but we'll see how it pans out.

Re the heatime,I agree our first heatime system with parlour readers was hit and miss.However,the new system with LD radio transmitting collars is superb,rarely miss a heat,although I will admit its easier with block calving cows within a group.
