Hi does anyone one know which of these alternators would fit a 2006 massey 5465 dyna 4?

attached is a pic of the number on the one fitted, I’ve searched it but it brings nothing up?

I took it that those numbers were for the regulator. Perhaps there are other numbers?

That's the part number for the regulator.

Have you no other numbers on the unit?

Depends if it's on vee belts or multi rib

at a guess i would say this one, because both the others have plastic covers over the reg pack and yours doesn't by the looks of it?

My theory is also confirmed by vapormatic site which has a better picture of it.

Yes that looks identical t Thankyou, it also has the double pulley like the one on my massey, is there much difference between the 80A and the 120A, what odds does the amp rating make?

120amp will charge battery quicker or run more lights etc Don't assume you can fit the other 120amp version cause you might run in to problems with fit meant and or tacho out put signal etc

Be very careful with the mounting bracket on the timing case, they are poorly designed.

I recommend you have a quick look at the original alternator...very often worn out carbon brushes...cheap easy fix . And it's probably a much better quality unit than the Chinese replacements
