Which bale nipper

I have a Fleming and its been fine for 20 years.
Much the same as a McHale but the Fleming has a bump bar over the top of the ram with is why I went for it, plus it was a bit cheaper
Our mchale was bought well used, slack and noisy so I don't know what they're like new but my neighbour has a Fleming which seems brilliant to me. Very tight and solid, good visibility and less unexplained little tears

View attachment 962818thats how I read it. U won't be ringing up to see if it's list price when a new McHale's
Murray stuff seems to be creeping up a bit too much in price.think albutt stuff is just as good if not better an cheaper

What's it like getting bales off a trailer?
I know it shows a wee bit in that video but most never show them unloading bales.
The top row is no different than lifting them in the field as your not concerned about ripping plastic on the bottom row like you would with the pipe style and the bottom row is fine if you leave a bit of a gap on the bottom row but if you don’t you can still get in as the front is a roller

Do you ever lift bales made of short soft grass 6-8 months after being tipped in the corner of the field

We've just bought one of these, Albutt F301. Greaseable roller bearings in the sleeves. Have only used McHale and Albutt and the Albutt won it for me, much quieter, felt much stronger and just nice to use. More money for sure but worth it in my eyes.

I bought a jm Agri tr3 last year it’s far quicker than the other types

Like the look of that.

Having used all 3 basic designs (roller, over the top, and soft hands), the over the top type is by far the quickest for wrapping and stacking. As my contractor used to say, you can practically throw the bales into the stack with the over the top type.
I have a soft hands type now, and whilst it's very versatile, both in stacking either way and other uses, its far slower than my old over the top type.
