Been looking at a couple lexions ,a 2003 class 470 montana fwd. And a 2007 class 570 montana
Both have done roughly 2200 hrs drum hours but the 470 has cut 32000 tons
And the 570 has cut 4 2000 tons. I think the 570 is in better condition externaly.
But is about 20k dearer.and I like the idea of the fwd .

Has either been fairly comprehensively overhauled as ongoing pre-season maintenance, because they will be worn out if not.

I wouldn’t take too much notice of the tons, if the operator hasn’t test weighed every different crop type every year it could be 20% wrong very easily. My old 480 and my current 570 were both always around 15% reading too high

@Benny . What is the difference between the 470 and 570 I was told
the main difference is the 570 has a bigger engine. But I well probably
never use the straw chopper so I didn't think the extra horse power
would matter.

It depends on the age of the 570 but it could have jet flow sieves mine is a 07 and it has them. Is the 470 a evolution ? The rotors could be different aswell.

570 be much better machine with jet stream sieves, 470 wouldn't be bad but unless well looked after be showing its edge now, unless your goind to do maize with it a small combine I should thing they will only have 25ft headers wont need 4wd will just let cut when it's too wet

If I’m honest I know nothing about Montana combines. Are they based on a c spec or a plus? With them only having small tank lids I would guess they are based on a c spec but this may not be true.
