Which classic to replace a gator?

I need a reasonably tidy manouverable, light 2wd classic for around 4k to do the following jobs.

Flail topping small paddocks/ roadside.
Log splitter.
Pushing boats in and out of storage with ball on front.
Go round wintering sheep 3 x a week in winter.

Currently use MF 135 for the first 3 and gator for sheep but its not man enough for some of the bigger boats and the gator seems to be money standing for one job 3 x a week half the year.

I'm thinking JD 2040, IH 585XL (always hated the L cab..) MF 565 or similar, my only worry is it gets wet here in winter and dont want to get constantly stuck with 2wd and make a mess.

Any suggestions? Or poss tractor plus cheap quad for the sheep checking..

If you can find one of these there very handy.20150913_114105.jpg

Platform on the back like a gator but 4WD with PTO front and back and 3 point front and back.Pivot steer so great turning circle with low cab and narrow wheelbase to get inside buildings.Fitted with deutz engine so reliable. Platform on the back takes standard pallet/ibc container.
