Could never get on with him, bit of a tool. When he was over at Ripon know of quite a few that wouldn’t deal with him.
Has his preferred customers I believe, you must be in his clique 😉

Funny I have same thing with Smith
We have done many a deal with Brian but won’t be doing anymore after he pulled a fast one on us! Good old Geoff saw us right though. Mr smith will do anything to help you but a deal with him his a slow burn job!

Our local blue dealer is rubbish, never see a rep, 4 years ago when we were about to change our combine we asked for some info on combines and they never got back to us!
And that was after speaking to the sales manager!

Mixed results with our local blue dealer, they lost out on a tractor deal a few years back because the rep was useless (I believe he’s moved on now) but redeemed them selves last year when they did me a good demo on a machine that never left the farm.

more recently I asked about a price for a machine and despite jogging the reps memory a couple times he never came back to me, I rung a different rep in the end and had a price on the table before I put the fone down, I bought the machine the following day and will give that rep first dibs in future.

It does make you wonder in this modern world of the telephone why any reps with any idea cant get anything half sorted in a few minutes , perhaps playing candy crush!!!!!!! or is it part of the game how long will you wait!!!!!!

Funny how I manage to buy machines, mend then, sell them and still have time to answer every single message and enquiry I get.
maybe because it's my name above the door and if I don't answer messages I don't pay the bills

many years ago I moved down here and introduced myself to the Ford dealer I chose the tractor I wanted and said I would be moving into the farm in September i would pay the deposit then but wanted the tractor to be delivered when I took possession of the farm so I wanted the warranty to start on delivery they said they could not do that to come back in September when I went back they told me the tractor had gone up three thousand pounds and the interest-free deal was no longer available so I went to another dealer and bought a case in the following years I bought four tractors from that dealer until the big shake-up and they lost the franchise, I have no regrets I found the case tractors did what I wanted and the dealer gave first clas back up I find it difficult to understand the attitude of some dealers if I had bought the blue tractor i would still have been loyal to the brand to this day but hey ho, I felt sneapt if they don't value their customers i dont want to deal with them

Not my experience of him. I haven't done every deal with him but hes still sharp on getting back with a price next time I'm after something. I've borrowed a jd tractor when I ran a Fendt too

Good service from our very own @ACEngineering.
He helped ID a part for our Merlo on Friday and it arrived here this morning, along with some bits for our Matbro. Very helpful. Merlo bit now fitted and working perfectly, Matbro to sort out next.

Thank-you Andrew. 👍
He also helped me out a couple of yrs ago ...good man .
Locally Frank Sutton JohnDeere is a top place . They are very helpful and reliable .
Couldn't say the same about Tallis Amos also JD and a bit closer !

Disappointing to hear that. My experiences of Tallis Amos have been pretty good, though admittedly I don't run any JD tractors.

A contractor I use has JDs and uses them for all his work and seems pleased with the local depot overall, enough to have recently had a new tractor through them and also be pricing up up replacing his combine with them too.

Could it be the depot rather than the dealer?

Probably ....but I run fairly old kit and never new tractors . I think if you are a 'big' spender there you are ok .i don't fit into that class .☹️
