Which Gator or Buggy?

We have had a Polaris Ranger for 4 years now but time to move her on. It is the 47hp petrol, which for what we do is ideal. Plenty of power, quick on the road and light on the land. Polaris is alright but not brilliant mechanical build quality - mainly drive shafts.
Any suggestions or experiences of different makes. An electric one would be perfect in many ways, just depends on price and engine power. I see that both Can Am and CF Moto have offers on currently. I know the former but not the latter.

I believe the later is made in China and is cheaper for a reason. Do a search on here about them. I seem to recall they are not built to last and sometimes parts are a problem. Aside from the fact that perhaps supporting the Chinese is not the best for our long term financial future here in the west.

have a search through old threads on here, the consensus over the last 18 months has been the new Polaris Diesel with the Kubota Engine.

Have a canam Hd8 here pleased as punch with it only thing I would change would be the suicide doors .May convert it to Gas as we have bulk on farm which would be far more economical than petrol.Done 5000 miles in 8 months no issues yet and it’s got a 3 year warranty.Good road speed top end about 55 mph.Seems to go anywhere the quad will go and a hell of a lot handier if you need to pick a ewe up.

Was dead set on getting a diesel test driven the jd and polaris as everyone was saying to go for diesel. Now I've had a 2nd thought i don't do many miles so petrol will be just as fine. Having a test drive in the can am in the next few weeks.

There are a lot of the CF Moto ones sold locally, and a lot of them are soon trying to be traded in on something better

We always have Polaris here and are very happy with them. Which ever brand you buy though all these buggys and overpriced and go through bearing and driveshafts on an annual basis as soon as the warranty runs out.

Broadly the Polaris is a great buggy. Loads of go in the 570 engine and does all we ask without the weight and size of a truck. We have a Ford Ranger with BF All Terrain tyres but heavy on the ground and not nearly as convenient as a buggy.
We don't want a full cab either, windscreen, roof and back screen is fine for us. Problem is that they often charge a huge amount for a full cab when we don't need it.
Just looking at alternatives. Very unlikely to be the CF

I’ve got a can am hd8 here on loan whilst my Kioti is in for some repairs and I’m absolutely convinced of one thing, I’d never want to buy a petrol, daily petrol cost is more in pounds than the Kioti uses diesel in pence, along with the convenience of having diesel on farm, although I don’t think I’ve ever filled it twice ina month, I’m going through a jerry can of petrol a week.
Can am also throws a lot more sh1t around, the front wheels are very poorly covered.

Uncle has a canam electric which he loves not sure on pulling power etc but maybe worth giving a go if your not doing high milage
