The spot beam on the lenser mh10 is good enough to lamp with the 17hmrI'd be happy with that beam from a hand torch, excellent for a head torch.

Like the cup hooks idea. USB rechargeable has got to be a no brainer, my old Lensa eats AAA's, always manages to turn itself on in my pocket, even with transport lock function!View attachment 911389
We have x4 lined up in kitchen on cup hooks. Easy to run to the USB on switch leave overnight. Good thing is with the last one we bought you can interchange between a couple of standard batteries or rechargeable battery. Happy with quality. For the money etc best useful items on farm.
With any product you can always find cheaper, had really good experience with LED lenser both sales and support, have hand torches and head torches and am very pleased with them.Makes that Lensa @ £89 look a bit pricey
Hmmm maybe.LED Lenser
end of discussion
For that sort of money you can't go wrong [emoji106]We have 4 of these.
Oldest is at least 6 years old and still going strong. Bright enough for general work but not super bright for long distance.USB Rechargeable LED Head Torch - Super Bright, Waterproof, Lightweight & Comfortable - Headlamp Perfect for Running, Walking, Camping, Reading, Hiking, Kids, DIY & More, USB Cable Included: Amazon.co.uk: Sports & Outdoors

2 brightness settings, flashing and red lights. Used every day throughout winter and quite regularly in summer.
Also got a Lenser non rechargeable, but that doesn't see much use these days.
If you want a cheapish option I'd recommend them.
I can second this. I own an NU35 which also has a physical protection cover to keep all of the muck out as well as stopping accidental activation. I got mine from here https://lumospro.co.uk/product/nitecore-nu35-rechargeable-led-head-torch-light/Nitecore HC30
5 levels of brightness
Takes 1 18650 rechargeable cell
No USB port to knacker, no cable to pull out, small enough to go in your pocket, damn near indestructible.
If its low on charge just change the battery...
Does this just have simple on/off switch rather than go through 4 modes to switch off?
I find this v.good for me anyway (I used it circa 1.5 hours or so a day,and charge at night)
