Which Impact Wrench?

Serious bit of kit, I hardly use Air powered one now. Cordless all the way, it gets some abuse during my day/night job as a JD tech. Will undo rear wheel nuts at 500nm, and £180 full refurbs gun like new when it eventually expires. Lithium 18v batteries last well and charge quickly.

However, when I did the research before buying this one the Milwaukee would have been my choice had I not had a local Snap-on dealer.

I'm sure £50 gets the batteries re-conned which according to my dealer effectively means new batteries so he recommends this over new replacements at £90

Can get batteries from other power tools recelled locally for £25 but they can't do the snap on ones - there are companies on ebay that recon snap on but not cheap

Yes they do look the part, what about variable speed though?
Milwaukee speed is variable, 0-2000 rpm. (edit 2000 ish)

No other machine comes close to the torque produced at this price.

The Li-ion batteries don't have the memory issues of NiCad.

Anyone know if you can get a torque limiter for an impact wrench ? ie you set the torque you want to wizz wheel nuts etc up to and it would exceed that ?

Think mines a 18v clc 600 nm and got it from kramp for £330. Just occasional use but takes off and replaces studs on sp sprayer no worries at all. In fact have to watch it doesn't strip threads

Will enquire - do you know if they have preset torque or can you adjust ?
Other option is a set of colour coded extension bars which have preset torque loads. Allows you to fit any impact socket size, and will be cheaper.

They're called torque sticks in sherman tank land

Edit beaten to it. EBay search torque sticks will find some
