Better off with biomethane
Know little of either tech, danger of electric is if everything is electric from heating our homes to running all transport and then the green lobby want no nuclear, gas or coal.generation then the whole pack of cards could collapse if we had a large high pressure system with a snow event, no wind and no solar, I'm not against electric power but the infrastructure and back up generation needs sorting first

Could be kubota. Theyr a rich company and thier wantin a big piece of the pie and theyl know if they come up with a machine that drastically reduces running costs that ppl will buy it

I'd happily get a electric tractor if there was a 40% grant on them... there's plenty of jobs around the yard that a small tractor could easily replace a diesel and even jobs like spraying, tedding, raking, fertilising and even topping grass could easily be done with Electric.
Even with 40% dis, the asking price will be out of this world.

I don't think they will be that much more I mean they should save a stack of cash for not needing a transmission or anything really its all just batteries and electric generators.
I don't think the extra cost can be justified from the fuel and maintenance costs savings alone hence why I think there will need to be a grant scheme of some kind to make it affordable. Maybe a diesel engine scrappage scheme?

Not only the over consumption of electricity but also the high grade precious metals and components in these battery powered vehicles are finite, non recyclable and their extraction is probably worse than oil for environmental impact. All things that the eco brigade skirt around! At the end of the day all this green powered revolution is powered purely by money and greed the environment comes very low down the priority list!
