The very first tractors were electric powered ranging from the 1880’s Zimmerman tractor to the 1920’s Major Mcdowalls 12.5 hp Scottish model. More recently Allis Chalmers made an experimental fuel cell model.
The Russians did though probably have the only real attempt in the1950’s . They are believed to have produced up to 300 wheeled and tracked models before giving up
There is little new 😀

Tried this, but lift capacity inadequate for our box scraper. Had plenty of pull though.

Now going to try one of these for scraping out, got a non-working one at a decent price so when we collect it tomorrow I will have another project!

Hydrogen is far too inefficient, you lose 3/4 of the energy making the hydrogen, compressing it and then getting back to electricity. Worst case with batteries is 1/4 loss.
That may well be true but the battery required to power a 200 hp tractor for 8 hours isnt available atm, if the tech changes perhaps or just stay as we are with diesel

Rather than being solely electric it's more likely to be an alternative fuel possibly even running some kind of generator to charge batteries so it'll be a hybrid of some description. Cnh or agco be my guess for first.
