Which mattress ?

Has anyone any opinions on good mattresses, I ve looked at both teemore and wilsons. Wilsons looks good but am concerned that it is only attached at the front of the cubicle, also while they say they are waterproof I ve been told that you can't power wash them.

The teemore looks very robust and comfortable when new but some of the older ones I saw were nt just as soft

I'd appreciate others experiences

The Wilson has a crumbed rubber base and foam on top of that with a canvas layer on top. It does seem very comfortable but I have concerns about it

The other has a foam base with a good rubber contiuous top . Fixed front and back

My biggest gripe with my wilson mattress is the fact they are fastened at the heel stone,I have had stock bulls and the odd cow lift them ( makes a right mess) have a 100 cubicles with intershape/agriprom foam, the foam is still good but the top cover is wearing on some that was replaced 7 years ago.(n)

Teemore stuff is generally decent but I have no idea about their mattress, all I know is I won't be having any more wilson cubicles (n) they aren't a patch on my teemore ones.

We have all Wilson and the cows love them ,oldest ones are 8years old and look as good as the day they were fitted , never had an issue with the cover only held at the front despite a bull being in there a few years back . Only down side is the brisket board thing is too low when the extra foam cushion is fitted but rarely get muck on the beds so not a big issue

I decided it was cheaper to buy a bauer green bedding machine instead of putting in mattresses for our 400 cows. You also get 'free' bedding which is a bonus. Cell counts have been below 100 most of the year so I wouldn't rule it out if your having to buy a lot of mats and it would be almost a comfortable as loose housing.

I had the Intershape ones in 2 years ago and pleased with them. To early to say how they will last. Many of the latex foam/ full length top cover type seem much of a muchness but the Intershape were £10 to £20 less than most of the others I looked at. Easy company to deal with also.

Have the (yellow top cover) Wilson Matress with the Foam in it. Fantastic job, cows are lying longer, and gettin into the beds faster with no hesitation.

A neighbour of ours has the ( yellow top cover) Wilson Matress in with 21 yrs powerwashing it every year and its still going strong!

IMO you get what u pay for,
Some Matress have a dodgy top cover, that fails after 4yrs or so and give every Matress a bad name!!

Those of u with bulls in a cow house, on a Matress are u mad, of course they are going to go scratching off it,

I've seen the Matress that has been fixed in place with straps front of the cover and at the heel, not a gud job as Matress settles overtime and the excess top cover gathers at the heal creases up and just don't look appealing, seen it happen, the cover is fine but if it was just tucked in by hand without strapping the excess cover would self tuck in at the heel,
To sort it the farmer opened the front and pulled the top cover back, put in a Layer of foam and fixed it at the front again!

Different strokes for different folks I guess, ur Budget is a lot to work with in Livestock accommodation but if you don't look after the cow, she won't look after you,
