Yeah it's obscene tbh. Toyota quite shamelessly exclude the Hilux from their corrosion warranty, makes you think it must be deliberate especially when there are 25 year old Toyotas going around rust free, if they could paint them that well back then then why can't they now
I wonder why they don’t galvanise them, if we can galv a field gate?

You are right of course but you never here about rust issues in the land cruiser, surely same chassis as hilux.
Chassis be different and there aren't as many landcruisers about. The pickups rust from the back forwards so maybe the shape at the back effects spray from the road and makes it worse 🤷‍♂️

I was looking at a 2015 3ltr invincible for £15,000. It was up for 15 mins before I called and somehow I was second. Bloke turned up and paid the asking price. I can't keep up with this. I might have to just buy cheap to put off the decision a couple of years.

I saw an L200 on a 16 plate for sale, low milage around 26k miles, they wanted 19k for it.

When did they stop making the Pathfinder? Must be a load around from yummy mummies that will be clean as a whistle and never taken off tarmac. I presume they have the same chassis issues as the Navara, but perhaps less severe in the absence of mud. Tax implications too, but maybe worth a thought?

Don’t need paint on them when they are blasting round the desert with a 50 cal machine gun mounted on it 🙈😂

Parked next to an Amarok at the auction today, looks a well made piece of kit, apart from price / towing capacity being against them, they seem popular as a farm truck around here. Certainly a class above the jap rivals in appearance but wouldn’t know how they would stand up to a lot of towing and shepherding duties.

Am I alone in thinking this pick up job is bloody mental, kicking on 40k for a machine that needs painting underneath…..they are taking the p*ss.😂
Isn’t that the truth! I know most pickup buyers get vat back but when you look at the vat inclusive price I can’t help but think it might buy you a lot of car.

I was talking to our local tame mechanic where they always have a selection of second hand pickups. He told me of one guy bought a pickup off them and took it down to webuyanyvan and took a profit!

I’ve noticed more turning up at market or at the shoot. I’ve been wondering the same? Not heard anyone have much in the way of problems. DPF and EGR I’m told might want attention at some point in its life. The 3 litre engine is very tuneable where at Pendle Performance a remap would see 330bph and over 700nm of torque could mean a rapid tow of sheep or cattle to market at a fair lick!

We have a 2020 v6 Amarok Aventura blk edition and now a 2022 ford ranger 2.0 bi turbo wildtrack . To drive, the ford is nicer. The equipment on the ford is better ( both are top of the range) . The quality of the ford is better…. The engine in the vw is bliss…..

Which is best though, as a farm vehicle?
