The next Ranger model will inevitably be available as hybrid, plug in hybrid and all-electric. Hopefully the hybrids will continue to be available in combination with the Diesel engine or we may as well forget them and go the all-electric route from the get-go.

Guaranteed to go half way for a start purely from a financial point of view from the manufacturer let alone the infrastructure issues if we were all to buy fully electric vehicles. At the end of the day they'd rather sell you 3 or 4 pickups over the next decade rather than 1. It's definitely coming though and one of the main reasons for the ford/vw tie up.

The thing is, if you don’t build from the ground up as a pure electric truck, you loose a lot of the very useful features of that F150.
I’d suggest most farms would find a pure electric truck a huge plus. They often have 3 phase so can charge at something like 22kw. Can have solar on on the barn roof and charge the battery at lunchtime during peek solar.

And It's supposedly not that much more expensive than the ICE versions with its starting price of 40.000 USD. It starts out with a roughly 370km battery and an optional 480km one.
Very rough efficiency calculation would put the battery options at something like 85-100 kWh base and the upgrade at 125-150 kWh
