Which seed front tank?

Whilst it’s wet we are making a 5m power Harrow drill. Got the back end sorted but not sure on which front tank to go for. Looked at weaving but fail to see where they get the £10,000 price tag from as it’s just a tank with a seeding mechanism. It’s also a heavy lump. Got a quote coming from Alpego but is there anything else worth looking at?

How many Upstakes and heads are you proposing to use. What form of drive system and control system are you looking at?? what does the weaving quote include and exclude, electric drive? controller? Tramlining?

If you like to make your own kit up then look out for a worn out vaddy rapid , 5 mins with a cutting disc and another 5 with a mig and jobs done for not a big sum of money , a clever bugger might cut the wheels down to 5 m , take wheels off where tractor wheels run and use it to support the weight of the tank as a press , might not be ideal this year but ,,,,,,,,

They are expensive thing no getting away from it I'm afraid

If you want to do it cheap I have a ground-driven Accord hopper I might sell as it's not going to work in the application I had in mind for it. I have an ISO Horsch spilt hopper here now that might be used next week if it drys up!
