Which timber for livestock decking

As title says the timber decks in the stock box are shot .
What timber/ boarding sheets would you use to make new ones ?I‘ve had a good search on the tinternet but can’t find much info.

I wouldn’t / didnt , was ply wood changed for alloy cheque plate, woods not very good .

Agreed alloy check plate would be good .
current decks have done 23 years so pretty good their made from a particular wood but I can’t remember what it’s called .Somethings telling me it’s Keruing.

It wouldn’t be hiroku would it? That’s what’s on low loader decking but I don’t think I’m right with the spelling or pronunciation but I fitted some to a low loader and it was big money

Keruing is the best for trailer floors yes.

Buffalo Board. Phenolic WBP Ext Birch Plywood with a slip-resistant wire mesh pattern. Suitable for use in lorry decks.

I got some 4mm aluminium chequer plate pans folded to the same dimensions as the timber. Never regretted it once.

Definately do this won’t be a dear as you think either prob cheapervthan the correct wood!
