Im after the same but to ridge and till in one pass!! Perhaps MODS could merge our two threads??
the one we haved pull in the pass was right in to plough land and bed tilled it & pull the beds up with the ploughs , we pulled it with a Fendt 939 & it played with it but it some fields it made the 939 lie down, if i own the machine I would not have bought the scanstone , Grimmie looks a lot better made machine

We had a demo of a scanstone, standen and grimme . The scanstone had the best output with us destoners went between 1 -1.5 kph faster with less clods

@puntabrava @Speedstar I’m growing cover crops which I would like to work down with a sumo trio and then till and ridge in one pass. Have either of you done this? Basically not ploughing?
Pp ,have you thought about working it when dry straight after combining ,ridging it up and sowing your cover onto ridges , saw a field done like this the other day , cover was not to big ,but plenty roots and worms and soil dug really well ,will be interesting to see what its like when they plant

Just keep an eye on the gearbox height as some the centre gearbox is very high which give pto problems as the tractor shaft is running at too greater angle particularly when raised to turn at the end.

Doesn’t that depend on if being used on ridged ground so tractors sat at same height as working depth or straight into ploughing it’ll be 10+inches lower as used to find had to be careful on machine second passing.

To add to this I’ve run basseliers and got on great with them but 400hp gives them series grief if pushing hard had odd problems with shafts but that’s more to now and again having one side running harder so taking more power. If your regular running 400hp hard then my recommendation would be an AVR as built like a tank even a 1050 couldn’t kill it! I’m a fan of hook tine as personally found on heavy silt they panned less the L shape tine plus metal lasted longer. If want L shape stick with a Standen powervator built really well and back up superb and probs be better into a cover crop

I’ve been considering this as well. I had looked at a Standen straddle 2 bed machine, but the 5.4m offers a lot more flexibility. The ability to open on the flat and to skim grass land. We have looked at machio, Standen, Scanstone and Grimme. Mashio is probably our preferred option. Is a 724 or t7235 man enough? We won’t need to be going hard as only have 2 destoners. It will generally be running in pre ridged land.

724 will be a waste of time
You need 300+ HP to make it work right
