Which waterproofs?

About £20 a pair online when I looked earlier. I’m suspicious of the quality at that price, but cheap enough to try a pair for warm weather use.
Indeed. I haven't found anything of that price that remains waterproof with more than a month or so of wear, and I find flexothane very sweaty.
Like @Al R I like the Delamere for general use, as they're light, and not sweaty. But I find the crotch goes within a month or so of constant use, so am interested in something that may last longer.
Betacraft here for serious weather.

Go up a size, I’m a 34 in trousers but have XXLarge in delamares, Large and Xlarge would rip at the crotch every time I went to open the middle gates of the livestock box or stretched over a ewe when working in a race, since I’ve been on XXLarge Delamares I’ve had no crotch rips

I reckon they have got smaller.
I used to wear medium, and whilst I could still fit in my old medium pair, I couldn't get a new medium over my hips.
Now I know I have put on a little over the years 🙄, but when you can still fit the previous pair its not just too many cakes😀
I use the ones with braces too, to keep them up in place better.
But I'll try that👍

I don’t use braces, you know my build, going XXLarge is actually much bigger than my dad will wear even though he’s a lot bigger than me but I don’t get ripped crotches, only rips I get now are barbed wire..

Have the old ‘medium’ pair been stretched gradually over time?

I used to be a medium once too, but it’s a distant memory.

I have a keela jacket, was pi55ing today and it kept me dry!
Bib and brace is a pain when you need a pee!
These arrived last week, warm, comfortable, had a test this weekend on the quad rain runnin off the Guy Cotton coat even dry round the crouch sat on the quad(y), othets seen to fail, as others have said a lack of pockets and the most important thing missing is a bloody zip, ain't much good on a gill bladder :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

There's a good pocket in the top of the bib! Took me 6 months till I discovered it myself :ROFLMAO:

My Kaiwaka Stormforce kit is still going strong and I still can't fault it. In the recent near-endless bl**dy rain I've used it for hours on most days and no problems at all.

That written, I don't use it when I'm clearing hedges or fencing because of the barb' and more vicious thorns, nor at the back-end of the beasts... only Grade 1 surplus kit for those jobs because I don't mind the sh!t or rips to them.

Well decided to bite the bullet today and have bought the Kaiwaka Stormforce Parka Jacket. Sized up the bib and braces too, I’ll get them in the new year to spread the cost a little. Really impressed with the quality but time will tell I suppose. Thanks for all the advice!

Wish I'd bid against you for them now! 😉

Would the Kaiwaka stormforce stuff be good for a hill farm, lots of walking on wet & windy days. Or would it be too hot? I was considering the Stormforce Winter Jacket and the Bib, maybe that's overkill. There's no sitting on quads or tractors done here. Tried the Guy Cotten stuff before but I couldn't get on with it, found it very restrictive, ripped it anyway! Mate of mine has decent gear but I just can't get hold of him this morning to ask what it is.
